Mercy Gate Champion Children's Home was founded on a dream.My wife Abigael deamed that we had to look after the orphans and vulnerable children of Kisii, so in 2005, we founded our home.
We now have 35+ orphaned, disadvanteged and vulnerable children aged from two to fifteen. Although we are charged witht the care of these children, at present, we do not have a central home for them. We look after some of them and the others are placed in foster care for which we pay.
Mercy Gate is funded by donations from the church, friends and the ACIS, a Nairobi-based NGO.
This blog tell the story of some of the children, the little things they do or say, and gives news of events at the home.

Twiga Children's Centre in Kisii, SW Kenya, is a drop-in centre for over 35 orphans, disadvantaged and abandoned children. The children attend voluntarily to play for a couple of hours at weekends and during the school breaks. We ensure that they are well and that they have food, clothing and the necessary materials to attend school.
